Green magic for the art witch — a gentle, season-by-season friendship with the plants growing right outside your door.

A Witch's Weeds

Is this you?

You walk past them every day — the dandelions in the pavement cracks, the nettles by the gate, the mint gone wild in a forgotten pot — never quite realising they're some of the most quietly magical plants there are.

You'd love a green, plant-led practice. But the herbalism books feel heavy and serious and full of Latin, and the last thing you need is another Strict Thing To Keep Up With.

What if it could be gentle instead? Seasonal, unfussy, and entirely yours to dip into?

What becomes possible

Imagine knowing the plants on your own doorstep like old friends — what they're for, how to work with them, the little bit of magic each one holds.

A practice that moves with the seasons, asks nothing of you when life is full, and is always there when you fancy pottering back to it. Ink made from dandelions. A windowsill that means something. The ordinary green world made wondrous again.

What it actually is

A Witch's Weeds is a gentle, ongoing green-magic strand for art witches — plant magic without the heaviness. It follows the wheel of the year: seasonal zines, a slow trundle through twelve everyday herbs, casual notes for when the kettle's on, and simple make-it-yourself recipes (dandelion ink among them).

No syllabus. No pressure. Just you, the green world, and one plant at a time.

How it works

This isn't a course you finish — it's a companion that follows the seasons alongside you.

  • Seasonal zines — a new one each quarter, celebrating what's growing and stirring as the wheel turns.

  • A herb a month — a gentle profile of twelve everyday plants (lavender, lemon balm, mint, mugwort, rosemary, yarrow and friends): their lore, their uses, and their magic.

  • Casual audio notes — me, a cuppa, and a bit of plant chat while you potter about.

  • Simple recipes and makes — things to actually do with your hands, like brewing dandelion ink and some practical magic.

Dip in whenever the mood takes you. Miss a month and nothing's lost — the seasons always come round again.

Who it's for (and who it isn't)

It's for you if you love the idea of plant magic but want it gentle, seasonal and unfussy — if you'd rather befriend the weeds on your own doorstep than memorise a textbook.

It's probably not for you if you're after a rigorous, certificated herbalism qualification. This is wonder and folklore, not a clinical course — magic, not medicine.

A word from me

I made A Witch's Weeds because rigid, year-long plant courses bored even me — and I was the one making them.

So I stripped it right back to what actually brings joy: the seasons, a handful of good plants, a cuppa, and ink-stained fingers. I'm not a herbalist on high; I'm a companion who happens to love a good weed. Come and love them with me.

The gentle FAQ

"I don't know anything about herbs." Perfect — we begin with the ones you already walk past every single day. No knowledge needed, just curiosity.

"I don't have a garden." You don't need one. Weeds grow in pavement cracks, and a windowsill is plenty. The magic isn't fussy about postcodes.

"I can't keep up with monthly things." Then don't! It's built to be dipped in and out of. The seasons wait for no one — and judge no one either.

"Is this proper herbalism?" It's plant magic and folklore — wonder and storytelling, not medicine. Come for the enchantment, not the prescriptions.
