the witch's journey

A twelve-week walk back to yourself — told in paint, paper, and a grimoire that becomes entirely your own.

Is this you?
You've felt it lately, haven't you — that quiet flatness. The sense that the magic has thinned out of ordinary days, and you're not quite sure where the thread of your own story went.
Maybe there's a shelf of half-started journals, each one abandoned around page seven. Maybe you long for something deeper but every "course" you've tried felt like homework, or a stranger telling you you're doing it wrong.
You don't need another rulebook. You need a journey — one that's yours, taken at your own pace, that brings the wonder back into the everyday.
What becomes possible
By the end of twelve weeks, you'll hold something that didn't exist before: a complete altered-book grimoire, made entirely by your own hands — a record not of someone else's witchcraft, but of your own becoming.
You'll have walked the oldest story there is — the hero's journey — through your own life. You'll feel more like yourself again. And you'll have re-woven a little magic into the ordinary hours, which is, in the end, where all the real magic lives.

What it actually is
The Witch's Journey is a gentle, twelve-week creative adventure. Together we take an old, unloved hardback book and slowly transform it — page by page — into a grimoire that maps your own hero's journey. Each week is a stage of that journey: a little reading, a creative grimoire page to make, and a small piece of magic to carry into your days.
No dogma. No "right way." Just you, an old book, and twelve weeks to find your way back to yourself.

How the journey works
Twelve chapters, one a week — though there's no clock ticking. Go at the pace that suits you; the journey will wait.
Each week you'll get:
-
A short guiding chapter — the stage of the journey, in plain, warm language.
-
A grimoire page to make — a creative tutorial you can follow loosely or run with.
-
A small magical practice — something gentle to weave into your ordinary days.
It's built for real life and burst-energy creativity. Miss a week? Nothing falls apart. Come back when the mood takes you and pick the thread up again — that's not failing, that's just how creativity breathes.
Who it's for (and who it isn't)
It's for you if you've practised for twenty years or you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time. If you want depth and meaning rather than performance. If you're eclectic, curious, and a bit allergic to being told there's one true way.
It's probably not for you if you want a rigid syllabus with deadlines, or a quick fix. This is a slow, kind unfolding — and that's the point of it.
A word from me
I'm Sara Jane, and I've practised eclectic witchcraft for over twenty years — long enough to know I don't want to stand at the front of the room telling you how to do it.
I made The Witch's Journey because I walked it myself, and it brought me home. I'm not a guru; I'm a companion, walking alongside you with a cup of tea and a glue stick. Wherever you are on the path, you're welcome here.

The gentle FAQ
"I'm not artistic." Good news: this isn't about pretty. It's about meaning. Messy, wonky, splodgy pages are not only welcome — they're often the truest. There's no one to impress here.
"I don't have much time." The journey waits for you. An hour here, a quiet evening there. It bends to your life, not the other way round.
"I always abandon things halfway." So do most of us — me included. That's exactly why this is built for burst energy, with no falling behind and no shame. You can't get it wrong.
"I'm brand new to witchcraft." / "I've practised for years." Both are welcome, and both will find something here. There's no level you need to have reached.
"What supplies do I actually need?" An old book and whatever art bits you already own. Truly. We make magic from what's to hand.
